Philosophy on Physical Education
Physical activity helps connect and create bonds to other individuals and experiences. Being a physical education pedagogist has always been a goal of mine because of the positive influence it had on me. To achieve the goal I set for myself would result in becoming an active, positive pedagogist and an encouraging mentor for my students.
My objective is to help make physical education a positive and everyday activity for my students. Educating and having students gain an appreciation about movement along with the physical and health benefits that come with physical activity is another goal I hold.
There are numerous styles of teaching; my preferred route to teaching concepts to students is through construction of knowledge. Construction of knowledge incorporates looking for connections and relating it to the students’ knowledge base. I used many instructional strategies to accomplish this idea. I utilize a weekly classroom day where we discuss concepts that can be applied to my weekly workout routine.
I continuously enhance my desire and visionary aspirations towards influencing youth through an active, positive manner. Teaching has inspired, motivated and fanned the flames of my passion; physical fitness and wellbeing. I am well equipped with a comprehensive knowledge base of physical education and never cease to add to that body of knowledge. I am an avid, committed, desired, dedicated, devoted, enthusiastic, and passionate teacher. These individual qualities help inspire and motivate students to be compassionate about learning and being physically fit throughout their lives.
Physical education is that part of the total educational process designed to instill movement concepts in the learner, understanding through the physical, social, mental, neuromuscular and emotional experiences. I will enhance the learner’s overall education including the psychomotor, cognitive and affective learning processes through a progressive program designed to challenge the learner at all stages of development.
